#DeepikaPadukone #Chhapaak Deepika Padukone will be seen playing the role of an acid attack survivor in her next, Chhapaak and the first look of the movie was unveiled today, as the film went on floors. DeePee introduced her character Malti to the world and we are in awe of her powerful look, which displays an undying spirit, lots of pain and burnt skin. The prosthetic department has done a great job and deserves an applause for making DeePee’s character look so authentic. Padukone shared the image with her fans today and along with it she wrote, “A character that will stay with me forever…#Malti. Shoot begins today!#Chhapaak. Releasing-10th January, 2020.” The film is presently being shot in New Delhi. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, Chhapaak also stars Vikrant Massey and is being co-produced by Deepika and Fox Star India. The film is inspired by the life of acid-attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal and Deepika not only went through pictures and videos of Laxmi to get into the skin of her character but we hear that the film’s team collected data on 10 other acid-attack survivors to understand the subject better.
