He was brought amid loud roars of cheers. An emotional scene prevailed at the Wagah border where thousands of people gathered to accord a rousing reception to the IAF pilot. The customary Beating the Retreat ceremony at the Wagah border was called off today because of this special event. The entire nation which prayed for his safe return heaved a huge sigh of relief after Pak Prime Minister Imran Khan announced that Abhinandan would be sent back home on Friday. The first hint of good news was dropped by none other than US President Donald Trump who said there was some good news coming in for India. Later, Imran Khan gave the news.
