लंबे समय से सुप्रीम कोर्ट में लंबित चल रहे आईपीसी की धारा 377 की संवैधानिक वैधता के मामले पर अपना फैसला सुना दिया है. मुख्य न्यायाधीश दीपक मिश्रा की अगुवाई वाली सुप्रीम कोर्ट की संवैधानिक पीठ ने गुरुवार को दो वयस्कों के बीच सहमति से बनाए गए समलैंगिक संबंधों को अपराध मानने वाली धारा 377 से बाहर कर दिया है. The Supreme Court decriminalised gay sex today, setting down a milestone in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT+) community's long struggle for equality. The five-judge bench's verdict was unanimous, and was expressed in four concurring judgments.
