Deepika Padukone, who was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmaavat’, is reportedly keen to star in a superhero flick, which will be modeled on ‘Wonder Woman’. We have also heard that two instalments of the franchise are already being planned, and it’s going to be one of the most expensive films in the history of Bollywood. A source also revealed that Deepika will undergo intense mixed martial arts training for the film. If things go as planned, Deepika’s film will be India’s first film to feature a female superhero. The film is slated to go on floors next year. Deepika was slated to star opposite Irrfan Khan in Vishal Bhardwaj’s gangster drama next, but the film got pushed ahead owing to Irrfan’s health issues.
