Asaram and two other accused were on Wednesday convicted by a Jodhpur Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe court in a rape case nearly five years after the charges were leveled against the self-styled godman. Asaram is accused of raping a teenage girl from Shahajahanpur in Uttar Pradesh, who was studying at the godman's ashram at Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh.
