The Supreme Court declared its verdict on the petition seeking SIT investigation on the mysterious death of Judge Loya in 2014. The Supreme Court dismissed the petition stating that Justice Loya died due to natural causes while criticizing the petitioners to settle their political battles on another platform. Soon after the verdict, BJP leaders came out in numbers to lash out at the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi. The BJP leaders including Sambit Patra and Gaurav Bhatia accused the Congress of deliberately trying to malign the judiciary and the central government. They also asked why the Congress party was so keen on dragging their party president Amit Shah into the whole saga.
